Natália est née dans la fascinante ville de Rio de Janeiro, au Brésil, et a par la suite adopté la Suisse comme sa patrie de résidence. Elle a toujours été très intéressée par les thématiques sociales de son pays natal, et a donc décidé de fréquenter l’ UFRRJ (Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro). L’atmosphère académique lui a fait vivre des expériences merveilleuses, mais Natália a décidé de regarder les matières sociales avec ses propres yeux et pas seulement dans les livres. Après une année universitaire elle a décidé, avec une amie, de partir explorer l’Europe pour enfin connaître le continent ainsi que ses philosophes et artistes préférés. Même si elle n’était, à l’époque, âgée que de 18 ans, les expériences qu’elle a pu vivre durant ce voyage lui ont donné l’idée de rester en Europe afin de terminer ses études.
Elle décide de se rendre à Florence pour fréquenter la Scuola Superiore di Fotografia di Firenze. Elle a commencé avec la base de la photographie, soit la maîtrise de l’argentique, son développement et son tirage. Elle en a fait pendant plusieurs années tout en traitant son matériel elle-même. La chambre noire était son temple et elle continuait à apprendre de nouvelles techniques et expérimentations d’éclairage. Son travail commençait à s’améliorer et elle était toujours à la recherche de nouveaux procédés plus sophistiqués. A Florence, elle a découvert la photographie du nu et c’est à partir de ce moment-là qu’il devint une partie très importante de son travail. Travailler avec des images l’intriguait toujours, c’est pourquoi elle continuait ses découvertes tout en équilibrant sa vie de mère de famille et de photographe.
Elle a travaillé comme photo reporter dans de divers mandats et plusieurs autres projets. Les portraits ont également été explorés par Natália et ils ont aussi une place spéciale dans son travail.Elle progressait dans ses connaissances et n’a pas hésité à ajouter à son parcours le cinéma: elle a alors découvert que ce moyen était aussi spectaculaire pour passer son message. Elle s’est ainsi dédiée aux documentaires sociaux, toujours avec le propos d’arriver à toucher un plus grand public grâce à des sujets très personnels.
Natália was born in the fascinating city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and she adopted Switzerland as her homeland. She was very interested in all the social issues of her native country, and she decided to attend the Agricultual Economics University at the UFRRJ (Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro). The academic experience and atmosphere provided tremendous experiences, but Natália needed to see the social issues through her own eyes, not from a book. After a year of university study she and a friend decided to take some time exploring Europe for themselves to see first hand the continent of her favorite philosophers and artists. Even though she was only 18 years old, the experiences she gained there made her realize that she wanted to continue and finish her studies in Europe.
She decided to go to Florence to attend the Superior School of Photography of Florence. She started with the basics, which meant that for many years she developed and printed all her own photos. The dark room was her holy temple as she experimented with light and images and continued her learning through applying what she knew to improve her work and learn more sophisticated techniques. In Florence she discovered the nude photography and since then this is a very important part of her work. Working with images continued to intrigue her, so she kept on and on, even managing her career while raising two young children.
She has worked as a reporter on various assignments and been involved in public projects and advertising. In addition, she has expanded her field of expertise to portraiture.
As her photography skills increased, she added filmmaking, discovering that with this medium she could more fully show and explain social issues with documentaries and get her viewers more personally involved.

I’m a mother by day and photographer by night and this is my space.I live in Switzerland.
I grew up in Rio and started my photographer experience after a world wide tour.
I decided to sharp my skills in Italy and I adopted Switzerland as my residence place.

Face à la raréfaction des surfaces de travail à prix modéré en ville de Fribourg, une trentaine de créateurs/trices fribourgeois/es se fédèrent pour acquérir des locaux destinés à la création. Dans ce but, ils ont créé La coopérative La Maison des Artistes. Ce futur lieu comprendra des ateliers, des locaux pour musiciens, des salles de répétitions pour les arts de la scène, ainsi que des espaces de stockage. Il se veut aussi ouvert sur l’extérieur à travers un café/restaurant et un espace d’échange destiné aux workshops, stages et conférences. Créer une maison vivante regroupant les artistes au coeur de la cité, favoriser les collaborations et les synergies, mettre à disposition des créateurs fribourgeois un outil à l’image de leur excellence et de leur rayonnement sont les buts de la coopérative et de son comité.
